1. Definition of Tawḥīd

2. Proofs from Qur’an and Sunnah
“Your God is One God; there is no deity except Him, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.” (2:163)

3. Types of Tawḥīd

Scholars explain Tawḥīd in three interconnected categories: Rubūbiyyah, Ulūhiyyah, and Asmā’ waṣ‑Ṣifāt.

Tawḥīd ar‑Rubūbiyyah
Allah alone creates, sustains, and controls all affairs.
“Surely, to Him belongs the creation and the command.” (7:54)
Tawḥīd al‑Ulūhiyyah
Allah alone deserves all worship: du‘ā, ṣalāh, fear, hope, love.
“Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him.” (4:36)
Tawḥīd al‑Asmā’ waṣ‑Ṣifāt
Affirming Allah’s Names and Attributes as He revealed, without distortion or comparison.
“There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All‑Hearing, the All‑Seeing.” (42:11)
4. Summary

Tawḥīd is the heart of Islam: Allah alone is Lord, only He deserves worship, and His Names and Attributes are perfect and unique.
